About Us
We have many years of experience working in close partnership with our clients, serving individuals and organisations at all levels.
History
Established in 2001, Winchester Consulting Limited (Wincon) began by providing a range of
career transition, redeployment and out-placement support services across the UK
advanced manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors. Responding to the evolving
needs of our clients led to expansion into the nuclear and construction sectors with the
development of web-enabled systems to also support wider recruitment and talent
management activities.
These systems were then deployed to support key business sectors across three UK regions before being launched (at the request of BEIS) as a nationwide platform called the Talent Retention Solutions (TRS) programme.
In 2020, tailored versions of the UK TRS programme were delivered on behalf of HM Government for the UK Construction sector (with DBT and the CLC) and the UK Aviation and Maritime sector (with DfT), together with leading sector organisations, trade associations and professional institutions.
This also included versions of the Talentview (early careers platform) working with UK Universities, Colleges, and Schools to raise visibility of students and promote apprenticeship, graduate, traineeship, work experience and other opportunities across key business sectors.
The technology framework has progressively grown into a suite of talent and career management platforms and sector forum groups supporting the wider attraction, development and retention of people and skills within key business sectors and on behalf of councils and regional authorities.
